Gushing about book covers – January 2021

It’s Friday and that’s definitely cause for celebration (world wide celebration after Wednesday) and I think a good way to begin weekend celebrations is talking about gorgeous book covers.

This may need to become a monthly feature because there are so many.

Lets start off with these three favourites, I’ve not read all of them. Don’t judge me. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

The one I’ve not read because I’m saving it. I do this a lot. I kind of know I’m going to like this book and I like having books I know I’ll like just waiting for me.

This cover though! I actually have a signed print of it that I got for preordering and I plan to frame it and add it to my planned gallery wall in my library. It’s a really stunning cover with so much detail. I’d be happy to look at it forever.

Dracula by Bram Stoker

I have many, MANY editions of Dracula as it’s one of my favourite books and is now cemented at the top of the classics because I got engaged in Romania after travelling there because of this book.

This Roads edition is just stunning and I actually have three copies of it. I’ve promised one copy of it to a Instagram friend though and once post stops being so crazy I’ll send it on to her and only have two.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

This cover is just so lush and gorgeous.

Silvia Moreno-Garcia became an auto-buy author for me last year. She will be featured again. Her books have awesome covers. It helps that what’s in them is also awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚
