May 2025 in Pictures

My goodness May was absolutely jam packed but also amazing!

1. 🎭 Started the month off by going to see Jonathan Bailey in Richard II in The Bridge Theatre. It was a London day trip so it was tough going but it was also totally worth it. I great production in an absolutely incredible theatre. We are in talks about what to see there next.

2. 🏑 Very proud auntie moment! My niece got to play camogie in Croke Park. This is hallowed ground to most people so it was very exciting. Not only did she play there, she played brilliantly, broke a hurl defending. 🥳 All three of my nieces play camogie really well and I’m so proud of them. I was terrified of both the ball and the hurl. These three charge in totally unafraid. 🥰

3. 🥘 I have always meal prepped, even during COVID, but I’ve upped my game completely the last couple of months. I’m making multiple meals over a one week period and it means I don’t have to do the prep every week and I have so much more variety. Current favourites are lasagna and bolognaise (pictured) and a halloumi curry (not pictured)

4. 🌸 A couple of years ago I was devastated when my wisteria seemed to just randomly die. Anyone who knows wisteria knows it’s almost like a weed so it just randomly dying was crazy. Well, the part that survived is thriving and this year I had flowers. Not as much as I’d like, and there is still babying to be done, but we are getting somewhere and I’m delighted!

5. 🚶‍♀️We used to go to Howth almost every week for walks, we’ve been so busy weekends though and all of a sudden it was a year since we were out there. We picked an absolutely gorgeous weekend and had lunch out there after. It was honestly good for the soul.

6. 👩‍💻I have some big changes happening in my work role. They are kind of scary (I’m not great with change 😂) but also very exciting. One of the changes will be travelling a little bit more and this is one of the places I’ll be travelling to. There are still things being worked out and I’ve a course to pass🤞but I also think it’s time for me to do the hard things.

7. 🧘‍♀️Speaking of hard things! 😂 I started reformer Pilates in May and oh my goodness it is so much fun. Hard and fun! This studio is in my spin studio and as much as I’d like to go there all the time, because it was absolutely fabulous, this will only be for treats. There is a cheaper studio much closer to me and I plan add reformer to my Saturday mornings. The classes are also lovely there but the vibe of my spin studio is just *chefs kiss*

8. 🐝 This gorgeous patch of wild flowers is in a garden around the corner from us and I love it so much. I would love to do this in our garden but I don’t have a space big enough to dedicate to it. I’m working on some things though so maybe next year? 🤞

9. 🎉 Went away with the family for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Of course after weeks of stunning weather it was wild and windy for this trip. 🙄 We had a great time though.

10. 🇩🇰 Ended the month starting our Scandinavia tour. Of course we went to see the little mermaid in Copenhagen. 🧜‍♀️ A lot of people claim that she is underwhelming but she is at the edge of a really cool park and on a gorgeous river walkway. I thought she was cool! 🤷‍♀️
