I always believe that I’ll get these reviews written up and published within a week of the end of the month…

This is being backdate posted in October, I always get there in the end. Kinda!! 😀
The Front Runner (Gold Rush Ranch #3) – 4⭐by Elsie Silver
I think this is my favourite of the three books so far. I really liked the slow burn and the banter. I know Stefan was a real villain in book one and I totally get Billie finding it hard to forgive him but she was so unprofessional it was jarring. Put me off her a little actually. I mean feel free to hate him but calm down a bit maybe!
I really enjoyed Mira and when things got going the chemistry was off the charts.
The third act drama was a bit like the third act drama in the previous two books, not totally alike, maybe more predictable, these things always follow a formula but it just felt very like the other two books to me.
Love Redesigned (Lakefront Billionaires #1) – 4⭐& Love Unwritten (Lakefront Billionaires #2) – 4⭐by Lauren Asher
Well hello Lauren Asher!!
Love Redesigned was VERY cute and even though there is no such thing as an ethical billionaire I’ll happily pretend the characters in Lauren Asher’s books are an exception.
Julian and Dahlia took a little too long to come around for my liking but I’ll admit that there was a lot of trauma for them both, especially Dahlia. I particularly liked that Dahlia was the holdout and the person in the relationship who was most hesitant, wouldn’t mind seeing a bit more of that in romance.
I also liked how her issues were handled and Julian being SUPER respectful and understanding of all the the things she is dealing with. Him getting a vasectomy legit made me emotional. What a guy!!
I know I said I’d try and think of them as unicorn ethical billionaires but Julian bulldozing all the old houses and building monstrosities was a little off putting and I really could have done with more people calling him out on it.
Overall though, Love Redesigned was a great introduction to Lauren Asher, not perfect but super enjoyable!
I loved Love Unwritten and was SUPER frustrated all at the same time!
Rafael is an out and out asshole to be honest and Ellie is far too good for him.
Does he have a reason to be? I will admit he hasn’t had an easy time of it so I get it.
Does he redeem himself? He does BUT IT TAKES SOOOOOO LONG!!
Nico and Ellie saved the parts where Rafael was being a douche or utterly unreasonable (I will say that his reaction to Ellie not telling him something really serious about Nico was warranted but everything else was not) and their relationship was the cutest ever. I’d really like to be friends with Ellie, Ava is a shitty person!
Didn’t love this one as much as book one but I also think book three has the potential to be the best of them all. Can’t wait!
The Fine Print (Dreamland Billionaires #1) – 4⭐, Terms and Conditions (Dreamland Billionaires #2) – 4⭐& Final Offer (Dreamland Billionaires #3) – 2⭐ by Lauren Asher
I enjoyed these books, they were a bit out there, especially with the whole Dreamland/Disneyland but they were a fun read. The overall premise of the books is a Granddad has kicked the bucket and in his will has left instructions for the boys in order for them to get the inheritance over there dickhead dad! Fun!!
Rowan and Zahra in The Fine Print were my favourite and very likable characters. Iris in Terms and Conditions was maybe my favourite out of all three FMC’s but Declan was my least favourite MMC, he was an asshole, and Cal and Alana in Final Offer were kind a bit of a let down and kind of painful to read.
A Pack of Blood and Lies (The Boulder Wolves #1) – 5⭐, A Pack of Vows and Tears (The Boulder Wolves #2) – 3⭐& A Pack of Love and Hate (The Boulder Wolves #3) – 4⭐by Olivia Wildenstein
I really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy, Ness was amazing in it and I wanted to be her. This series is full of misogynistic asshatery and Ness stomping all over their world like a badass was awesome.
Book two was very frustrating, it felt like Ness was too easily manipulated compared to book one when she took zero shits from everyone!
And then there was Liam being an OUT AND OUT asshole! Like fuck him and the horse he rode in on! I REALLY do not like love triangles and I unfortunately I had already read book one read before I realised what was going to happen.
Did things improve in book three after the frustration of the love triangle and Liam fuckery of book two?
Eventually!!
Took a while though!
Liam is a douche. He deals with everything terribly and needed a slap pretty much every time he showed up on page.
August is the best ever and he was way more patient than I, although he is like 10 years older than everyone so I guess that makes sense.
I know the age difference would be a big issue for a lot of people and I’m for sure at the age now where I see those big age gaps and really question them, that being said I feel like Olivia Wildenstein dealt with it very well and made the age gap part of the conflict between Ness and August. As she should to be honest, these things should not be glossed over because 90% of the time a 10 year age gap between a 17/18 and a 27/28 year old would be problematic as fuck. I didn’t feel icky at all after this though and I was glad to see her with someone emotionally mature because she for sure wasn’t getting that from Liam and also I feel like she needed someone emotionally stable like August after all the trauma she had endured! It feels like he would encourage her to pursue everything she wants achieve in her life instead of holding her back. Unlike a certain Alpha!!!
The climax of this trilogy was edge of the seat stuff and those short chapters at then end were killer. I was genuinely concerned.
Even though I’ve done nothing but give out about Liam, I feel like he redeemed himself a small bit at the end so will for sure read his book, A Pack of Storms and Stars, one day. I hope we get some Ness and August as well!
Until the Sun Falls from the Sky (The Three #1) – 3⭐, With Everything I Am (The Three #2) – 4⭐& Wild and Free (The Three #3) – 3⭐by Kristen Ashley
I’ve had this trilogy on my TBR for a very long time, I was told I probably wouldn’t love it. They were correct!
Look, it wasn’t terrible it was just so freaking boring, I honestly thought the series would never end. The trilogy was just not on par with the usual KA series. It almost put me in a slump!
The Joy Luck Club – 4⭐by Amy Tan
I really enjoyed this, it was so interesting seeing the differences between the mothers and daughters outlook on life given how different their upbringings were. Mother’s and Daughters very often have conflict but here we see first generation immigration conflict/trauma and it adds a whole layer of problems for all involved but with The Joy Luck Club we see that even though daughters outgrow their mothers, there is still some wisdom to be gained from them. Sometimes that is, not encouraging toxic relationships here! 😀
Primal Mirror (Psy-Changeling Trinity #8) – 5⭐ by Nalini Singh
It was everything I hoped it would be.
Auden and Remi are my new favourites*!!!
*I say this every single book
Now, one of my least favourite tropes is the Pregnancy tropes and when I realised what was happening I was a little worried but Nalini Singh smashed it and I was 100% invested! Auden really went through it, I just wanted to hug her and I’m so glad Remi found her!
I fell in love with Remi and the RainFire pack back in Shards of Hope and I love him and the pack even more now.
Done and Dusted (Rebel Blue Ranch #1) – 3.5⭐by Lyla Sage
Who doesn’t love the falling for the brother’s best friend trope? Make it small town and I can’t stop myself!
This was super sweet and very low stakes. Emmy’s oldest brother was VERY annoying though. Can’t wait for his book! 😀
Rock Chick (Rock Chick #1) – 5⭐ & Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick #2) – 5⭐by Kristen Ashley
The Three put made me a bit slumpy so I felt the need to palette cleanse with my Rock Chicks!
