Quick November 2023 – Wrap-up

“November is secret and silent.”

Allison Uttley

A very, very late November wrap up post. I wasn’t electrocuted three times but it’s such a good excuse!

November’s highlight was my annual Guild Hunter reread. I always think I’m going to be over it and then I start and get obsessed again at an alarming rate! 😀

Cruel Seduction (Dark Olympus #5) by Katee Robert – 4⭐

I really enjoyed this one, I was a bit worried because I didn’t love the last two in this series but this was super strong. My favourite part was the slow burn between Hephaestus and Aphrodite, I like when arrange marriage goes from hate to big passion.

Adonis and Pandora were a really nice addition to the relationship and I liked how things with Pandora went and Aphrodite’s accepting of her needs. It was sweet and made me really want them all to have it work out. I’d love a little epilogue!

Too Good to Be True by Kristen Ashley – 5⭐

Am I allowed to call this old school KA?

It felt like old school KA and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It gave hints of Ghosts and Reincarnation Complete Series which is a real favourite if mine!

This was originally one of those chapter per week thingies which I’ve no interest in to be honest but I kind of liked how the chapters ended within this when reading it whole. Some fun cliffhangers which made putting it down super hard. I’d read more of these chapter thingies once they are completed!

Scrivens (The Librarian’s Coven #3) by Kathryn Moon – 2⭐

Joanna REALLY annoyed the heart and soul out of me in this one. Like I absolutely understood that she was advocating for the Scrivens and that’s why she was so combative with Aiden but man, she really doesn’t communicate well, I mean neither did Aiden but I felt like she was trying to make him feel like shit. If you loved him then sit him down and have a grown up conversation. I do feel like he was explaining to her why he needed to agree to restrictions but she was just getting angry. The book OPENS with them having an argument. I don’t mind a bit of conflict but I felt like this had too much.

Not even going to go into that silly bint who wrote a love spell for Isaac. The audacity and also maybe we can spend some time dealing with his trauma as a group?! Bloody hell!

I kind of don’t want to read the next book because I didn’t like Joanna in this soooo much but I probably will. I’d much prefer a book about Gwen’s coven instead though.

Give me book 15. More Elena and Raphael! Will we still be 10 years on from Archangel’s War? Oh I hops so because think of what Elena could do with 10 years under her belt!! I’m ready!
