What Makes Me Nervous?

Anxiety can make me nervous of absolutely everything, it really is the worst. I’ve gotten good at handling my anxiety over the years but sometimes it just sneaks up on me and makes me fearful of the most mundane things and causes me to completely freak out over the thought of the big things.

I had a little wobble recently and I’m still dealing with all the intrusive thoughts I had during it. Meditation and exercise help me a lot, even though I’m not great at meditating, once I make time for it I do feel much better, but I’m also not above going the medication route when it’s needed. Luckily I haven’t been that bad in years and hopefully won’t be again. Still the knowledge that I have something to fall back on is often enough to take me out of a spiral.

Seriously though, anxiety sucks!

I know ‘this too shall pass’ might be a little trite but it always works for me, especially when in the thick of things.
