July 2023 in Pictures

July was a good month, terrible weather but mentally and physically it was a wonderful. We had a week off and did some fun things but we also had lots of rest and relaxation. I do very much feel like summer is over now, June was lovely weather wise and July might not have been great but it did feel like summer because we had time off but I’ve only got the odd day here and there now. Maybe we’ll have the usual good weather in September when the schools go back and I’m off to Croatia for a few days at the end of August so I might even get some sun before then. 😀

🪴We started the month with new garden furniture. This is the most expensive and grown up garden furniture we have ever bought. So comfy and awesome. It’s also rained pretty much every day since we got it. 😂

🌁 Since I’ve started spinning again it means I’m in town regularly now. This is kinda of fun. I think. 😂 When we were looking to buy our house, being close to town was a priority for us. Then the pano happened and I developed like a fear of going in for some reason. Anyways, I’m there at least two days a week now and it’s nice. 🤷‍♀️

📚 Went for a lovely afternoon tea with a friend that’s in a cafe at the back of a bookshop. Another place I haven’t been since pre pano. It was so good and I love this bookshop but it also gives me anxiety as everything is just piled everywhere!

🍸After meeting my friend, himself came in and we went for a super fancy dinner followed by this awesome espresso martini.

🥾So that started a week off and we were supposed go to the mountains for a few days but the weather was shocking so we cancelled and went out to Howth instead. All the rain is making it a riot of colour out there.

🔔We also did a tourist day in town.

💅 Got 💛 nails.

🚴‍♀️Still loving spinning. Of course as soon as I did one Wednesday class they changed it so I’m doing Tuesday morning and Saturday/Sunday morning. See so many benefits already!

🍛 Met the bff for the most amazing meal in a fabulous Indian restaurant. We went here just before the second lockdown and we loved it but also didn’t fully enjoy it because there was a lot of panini fear. This experience was way better and I’m moving it up the list of favourite restaurants. The food looks like art!

💘And last but by no means least was the trip to see #Barbie and it was WONDERFUL. Also enjoying all the butt-hurt misogynists freaking the fuck out. It’s almost as good as the movie! 🙃😂
