May 2023 in Pictures

Things were a bit hectic at the end of the month and I’ve been on my holidays since the 2nd June. Sitting on the train on the way to our hotel for our final night so finally getting around to this. 😂

May was a strange month. It was busy and started out well but had a sad ending. My cousin sadly passed away the second last week in May, it was expectedly unexpected, which is a contradiction but it’s the only way I can describe it. After heroically beating the odds for over 20 years I think we just thought he’d continue to do that. Unfortunately this battle he couldn’t win and it’s all very sad.

I hate to assign a whole year as bad because even during times of adversity there can be moments of joy, so I’m not saying 2023 as a whole sucks, but this was the third death of the year for my family. So it be great if the rest of the year was a bit less intense and sad.

So the things that brought some needed joy in May:
😻The neighbours cat now falling asleep with me while I nap on the couch.
💜Walks in the park on office days.
🐦 Keeping an eye out for the lost homing pigeon (turns out he was from Northern Ireland and seems to have made his way home).
🎨 Finally painted the whole back wall in our garden. Paint gun made it quick work and I’m so happy with the results.
🌹 Makes the colour of my peach roses really pop.
👩‍🎤Got the hair done. I’m back to pink and I love it.
💪 Finishing my 6 week @carolinegirvan Iron series and planning the next one.
🌺 Sitting in my aunts garden with lots of family and reminiscing.
🍽️ Dinner with one of my favourites before a show…
🪩 That show being @freedom.unleashed.uktour @johannesradebe and being utterly joyful and good for the soul.
