Dom (Alliance #3) by S.J. Tilly
These books are completely insane and the men in them are absolutely UNHINGED and I kind of love it. Val is Kings half sister and her story was actually really sad, then along comes Dom to make everything so much worse. Dom is an asshole and what he does to Val was truly the worst!!! But like all our Alliance men, once he makes his bad decisions relating to his lady love, he becomes completely obsessed and locks that shit down in a totally appropriate way. In this case there was drugging and non consensual tattooing.
“Valentine, you’re my wife. I’ll give you whatever the fuck I want.”
I do believe that Dom was even crazier than King and Nero (I mean the non consensual tattooing!!) but I also think I preferred him over both of them. He was a lot less isolated than King and Nero, and it was nice how fond of his family he was, as a result he gave something priceless to Val. Her loneliness was so heartbreaking, like I was reading this for unhinged alpha vibes and I ended up catching some intense emotions. I was bawling on more than one occasion. Dom’s confrontation with King over how the family treated Val almost finished me off! 😦
“Relatives are the people we’re born with.
Family are the people we chose to keep around.”
As usual with these books, they are full of all the red flag, but Val and Dom were ‘perfect’ for each other, and I had a great time. Can’t wait for Hans. Will he out crazy those who came before? I really hope so! 😀

Synopsis:
VAL
When I was nine, I went to my first funeral. Along with accepting my father’s death, I had to accept new and awful truths I wasn’t prepared for.
When I was nineteen, I went to my mother’s funeral. We weren’t close, but with her gone, I became more alone than ever before.
Sure, I have a half-brother who runs The Alliance. And yeah, he’s given me his protection – in the form of a bodyguard and chauffer. But I don’t have anyone that really knows me. No one to really love me.
Until I meet him. The man in the airport.
And when one chance meeting turns into something hotter, something more serious, I let myself believe that maybe he’s the one. Maybe this man is the one who will finally save me from my loneliness. The one to give me the family I’ve always craved.
DOM
The mafia is in my blood. It’s what I do.
So when that blood is spilled and one funeral turns into three, drastic measures need to be taken.
And when this battle turns into a war, I’m going to need more men. More power.
I’m going to need The Alliance.
And I’ll become a member. By any means necessary.
