You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

I’m incredibly lucky to have my dream home library/office. It was something we talked a lot about when buying a house and my partner was good enough to allow vetoes on houses that didn’t have a space that would work and also get my shelves built for me.

I sanded and filled and sanded and primed and sanded and painted and sanded them myself. It was a huge job but I did the majority during COVID lockdowns so at least I had the time to dedicate to it.

The room is constantly evolving and it’s my absolute favourite place in our house. I work from home four days a week and I read a lot so it’s also the room I spend the majority of my time. I’m very privileged to have such an amazing space to spend so much time.

I really need to take new pictures of the seating area as I’ve got curtains and new shelves over in that area now. It’s also not near as tidy as this most days! 😂
