This year I would like to be more consistent with travel blogging. I usually failed at this in the past because I needed it to be perfect and that’s just not possible when blogging while travelling. So I’m just going to update on downtime while away and will add links to things we do and recommended places to eat and stay once I’m back.

A lovely time flight to Bordeaux. Got to sleep in a little bit with the taxi booked for 8.40am.

We are away for my partners birthday so we started the festivities with some Prosecco not long after 9.00am.

Arrived in Bordeaux proper at around 3.00pm. Had a little glass of wine in the hotel and then went to explore. Bordeaux is so pretty. Very old school French. Lots of restaurants and wine bars. Lovely people and most importantly duck confit. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday his request was duck confit and so far we’ve had one.

7. First duck confit of the trip. This is considered fast food duck confit. Two ducks and two glasses of wine for €34.00. It was super tasty with lots of duck.
