Horror movies aren’t my usual go to, my partner absolutely loves them and I’ve been unlucky enough to have been in the room reading while he has watched some.
To be honest the only one that comes to mind right now is one that lives in my head rent free and I’m pretty sure it’s caused me some significant trauma.
What movie could be cause said trauma you ask?
Midsommar (2019)

Such a disturbing movie, I think it’s because the majority of the really messed up stuff happens in the light. It’s so unexpected for a horror movie that it really messes with you.
I’m really not in a hurry to watch another horror movie any time soon. I much prefer low stakes scary tv shows or books.
I’m currently in the middle of a Buffy the Vampire and Angel rewatch and some of those episodes are super creepy and I much prefer them to being scared out of my mind!
Just watched one of my favourite episodes of Buffy is Earshot

An excellent episode that really dove into how terrible it would be to be telepathic with no way of filtering and reminding us once again how awful being a teenager is.
The scariest episode though has to be Hush in season 4. I think about that episode about once a week and it’s been 23 years since I last saw it. 😂
